We desperately need to be able to set our own time zones instead of relying on automatic detection.
I'm reminded of this need every spring when the UK shifts into Daylight Savings Time, and I get confused as to why an email I received a few minutes ago reads as coming in over an hour ago.
Mobile doesn't seem to have this issue and idk why. Maybe it's to do with my brower's pricacy settings? Either way, the solution is the same: let users choose their own time zone please.

This has been implemented in the Calendar but not in Mail. It's still what the browser is sharing, but since I have resistFingerprinting enabled in my Firefox it just shows UTC time.
This should be an option for every product out there.

There are lots of potential problems with automatic time zone detection, including privacy issues and of course VPNs that change your apparent location. On the other hand, the ability to set "my default time zone" in my account settings and always use that, seems like basic essential functionality.

Time Zone - I just signed up for ProtonMail yesterday, August 6, 2019 and am excited about the notion of privacy. However, having an accurate time stamp is essential for me to work on this platform. If anyone has any answers, I would so appreciate your sharing them here. Thanks! Lauren

Timezone is correct, though I would prefer 24 hours system, instead of am/pm

I currently see my email in my local timezone. I don't remember if I specifically selected that when creating my account, or if it automatically adjusts the time based on my OS or web browser's time zone. However I can confirm that there is no visible setting that allows the user to change this in the Protonmail user interface.

I've just started using this mail service and faced this issue too. Please, add the ability to change time zone.

Is there a way to change the time of received emails to my local timezone?

Yes. It wound be nice to set a different timezone for the email.
Sometimes, because using a VPN or spoofing the timezone of the browser for privacy, it displays a timezone on the emails that is not true and so it's not useful.
I access my email aways from the same place, but from different timezones according to my VPN server. It would be nice to set a timezone for my profile -

Still no answer? I have the exact same question. Would like to be able to change the time (and date) to my specific time zone. Feature still not implemented?

How can I change the time displayed for time sent/received for emails? I would like it set to my time zone.
