  1. Add a Shared Spreadsheet (like MS Excel) to Proton Drive

    It's great that you guys added a version of Word to Proton Drive, but we also really need a version of Excel. If you could make it a shared version (where more than one person can work in it/edit it at the same time) that would be even better! Please add this.

  2. Duplicate file search and preview within ProtonDrive

    As described in the title, a possibility to find duplicate files within ProtonDrive. Clear indication in which folders the files are stored and a file preview to compare the two files before deleting one or more of the same file.

  4. Docs: Insert image from proton drive

    One can already insert images into a Proton Doc. But only uploads from the current computer are supported. One should also have the option to use an image that is already on proton drive.

  5. Secret folder or Proton Vault

    On several devices, there are multiple applications to create secret folders, such as on Android there is "Gallery Vault" or the Google vault, or the Samsung secret folder, but the problem with these products is that they are products from big brands, or in other cases, bloatware, or adware, or simply unreliable.
    Which is why I suggest creating a Proton Vault, an app to encrypt files in the security of an inaccessible and hidden hidden folder, like, hide it under the mask of a Calculator app, or other ways depending on the user! And with a Proton Drive cloud sync…

  6. Save to external drive

    Saving to external drive.

    I have a mac mini with 256GB on it. After installing all the apps and documents that I use, more than half of it is used. Not to mention the caches, temp, backup files, etc.

    I use Box and other online storage and they have options to where to store their files so I use an external drive to store my files synced with the online storage apps that I used.

    I would love to see Proton Drive to have the option to store the files.

    Make a shared folder link "visible" as a normal folder in my Proton Drive (Maybe in another color or in italics font or so)

  8. Simultaneous access to multiple Drive to/from single desktop device

    Allow access to multiple drive on the desktop app-simultaneous login, upload to/download from distinct drives to/from single desktop device. Currently, we can access more than one account on the Drive desktop app, but not simultaneously (feature to add account doesn't exist). Also, once logged into more than one account, we should be able to upload and download to each account or from each account using the same device.

  9. Shared folders linked to Proton account (not just public links)

    Privacy and security are at the core of Proton's mission. Sharing folders through Proton Drive should be no different. A public URL for sharing stops short of privacy and security. A model that upholds privacy and security would be an invite model. Invite a specific person to the folder, if they do not have a Proton account, they can create one. They use this login to access files in the shared folder.

    A public URL has zero traceability to who is accessing the data. An invitation to a specific person would allow for traceability of the files in the folder…

  10. Upload Folder

    None of the other main cloud storage providers offer this either, so I'm not sure if it's a limitation, but I'd like the option to Upload a Folder, not just a File. This is for both web and app.

    Copying individual files becomes laborious when backing up items that have further embedded folders, files and hidden files.

    For videos uploaded to Drive, please include a thumbnail image from that video to uniquely identify each video, instead of only manually adding a title to each video.

  12. wget / curl support for download links

    The link that can be copied for a shared protondrive file cannot be downloaded by wget or curl.

    Use-case: I have a file.tar.gpg that I want a URL for so that it can be downloaded elsewhere using curl or wget. This is possible from other drivers, sometimes by adding a request url parameter that gives the "immediate download link".

  14. Let Proton Drive on android implement "cloud media provider"

    Let Proton Drive on android implement "cloud media provider"

    It's possible for apps to register as "cloud media provider". This means that when a user can use this provider in the android photo picker. This is a great use-case for Proton Drive and would make it a much better Google Photos alternative.

  15. Shared with me folders in iOS app

    Currently I can't acces to shared with me folders in iOS platform. It would be great to have a solution similar to that of the Android app, using tabs.

  16. Support Celeste app synchronization for Linux

    We need a local native file sync to the cloud with Proton Drive and that's something the Celeste app written by Hunter Wittenborn can do it just required some support to maintain it ... and even Pronton Drive can make their official app for Linux users.

  17. Stop double spacing lines by default

    On documents, by default, when you hit the return key you get a double-spaced line. I understand that you can get a normal single-spaces line by using shift-return but that is annoying as **** Why would you make the default something I never want? You fore me to use shift-return every time.

  19. Preview Open Document files in mobile or online

    The ability to preview files created with Open Document format in the Proton Drive App on Android or web based app.

    Open Document formats usually end in .odt (Documents), .ods (Spreadsheets), .odp (Presentations). These documents can be created by LibreOffice, Microsoft Office, and other open source Office alternatives.

    Part of the target market for Proton products includes people who actively avoid products like Microsoft Office or Google Docs (which produces Microsoft office formats) in favor of Open Source alternatives like LibreOffice which produce an open source standard format.

  20. Allow to download all data from photo and drive

    Recently I had to remove an address and all of its associated data, the issue is that downloading all of my data was painful, as a lot of the downloads took, a while, and the download often failed. Forcing me to manually select smaller folders, and download those, then merge them.

    As for photos scrolling through all photos and selecting each month, it appears as if there is no "select range" key binding.

    It would be useful in general to have a "take out" feature for both drive and photos.
