Feedback Request: Enhanced PDF Export Feature for Proton Docs
Dear Proton Docs Team,
I am writing to provide feedback regarding the PDF export functionality within Proton Docs.
My feedback pertains specifically to the current PDF export method. It appears that the "Export to PDF" option currently relies on the browser's native "Print to PDF" feature. While this offers basic functionality, it introduces an unprofessional element into the exported documents: the inclusion of the document's URL in the footer of every page.

Drive: Search within files
The search should be able to search within files. Make that optional because it will take much longer - and probably add a small progress bar for this.

Improve Downloading and uploading speed
i know that proton drive has robust security and i think that is why probably the download and uploading speed is very slow compared to other solutions like mega. Proton Drive would be top notch with a more robust server speed. i think that 50 MB/s would be very good starting point for example.

An option to lock down Drive access on computer
In addition to Proton Drive, I have a premium pCloud account with their encryption option.
If Proton Drive provides a secured online storage with encrypted transfers and encryption at rest, pCloud Encryption provides in addition a mechanism which allows locking the local vault on the computer for sensitive documents.
Sure the computer session has a password but it would be nice to see such a complimentary option for Drive. I believe pCloud opens up some sort of virtual network drive. I don't know if Proton Drive does the same thing and if the current implementation would enable this.The Proton…

Paste Markdown into Docs
You support copying from Docs as Markdown. But copying markdown into Docs doesn't convert it to formatted text—it stays in markdown, making it hard to read.
Please extend copying markdown to a two-way - copying from docs as markdown and pasting markdown to docs.
Quite useful if copying from a markdown editor like chatgpt, github or else to Proton Docs

Easy Switch for Proton Drive
Please implement an equivalent of Easy Switch for Proton Drive. It would be of great benefit in the effort of migrating from OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox. It's honestly almost impossible to do manually as I - as of now - has to download everything to my local computer and then upload it to Proton Drive.

It would be nice to edit/create excel files within the Proton Drive suite.
Same functionality as https://proton.me/blog/docs-proton-drive, but then also for Excel instead of Word documents.

Make Photos visible as a top-level folder in My files
This might be a quick functionality win for a relatively small amount of coding...
From an Android perspective...
(a) Make the photos (files) created and managed by the "Photos" section of Drive visible as a special top level sub-folder of the "My Files" area.
(b) In the "My Files" view enable copying/moving between "Photos" and "My Files".
This keeps these actions in the cloud and allows photos uploaded to Drive "My Files" as files (ie, on android, "shared" with Drive from another app), to be later moved to "Photos". No time take downloading, uploading etc.

Dont upload edited Photos from IOS as duplicate
Currently, if i edit a Photo on IOS it uploads to Proton 2 Photos (one original and one Edited). This should not be or be optimised (maybe ask if i want to synch the original or edited Photo). Since i personally edit a lot of Photos, i have lots of Duplicates (and therefore a lot of Space used) in ProtonDrive

Download folders from Drive on Android
Hi,
I would love to be able to download a folder from Drive to my internal storage. Currently I can only download files and new to recreate the folders if needed.
This clutters my download folder and I can't find stuff.

Mutual proton drive
I have a Proton Duo subscription shared with my wife, and I’d like to know if it’s possible to have a single, mutual Proton Drive that both of us can access and manage — rather than using shared folders between two separate Drives.
In other words, can we have a truly common Drive space for both accounts within the Duo plan, where we both have equal ownership and access rights?20 votes -
Make Photos on Drive more like a Photo Viewer over File System
The photos viewer is nice but it would still be good to view the photos as normal files as part of the file system and makes them syncable to computers.
This would allow the user to manipulate the photos once they're in Proton Drive and limited to the UI. Once you upload them, it's almost like they're inaccessible to anything but viewing.
It would also allow the user to organise/rename/edit the photos on their local computer rather than them being "hidden" away and only accessible in the UI. Although there are albums for organisation, folder based organisation would also be…

Proton Drive remote upload for files & upload of attached files from Proton Mail to Proton Drive
Currently files and folders can be uploaded into Proton Drive only from the device storage.
1. Could you please consider to add 'Remote Upload' into Proton Drive so files from URL could be uploaded directly from internet into Proton Drive.
2. Uploading files attached to emails from Proton Mail to the Proton Drive directly.
3. Possibility of extracting compressed files (zip, tar, 7z, etc.) directly inside Proton Drive environment.
4. Possibility of compressing files and folders into containers (zip, 7z, tar etc.) with password so files could be then attached from Proton Drive into Proton Mail emails as compressed attachments.20 votes -
One Way Sync For Proton Drive Computer Backup
One of the primary reasons people are gravitating to Proton is for redundancy. There should be a way to set “two way sync” or “one way sync” for files and folders. Some files we would just like access to, while knowing we will not accidently move or delete them. I know that the “Trash” holds them for 30 days, but sometimes “fatal” errors can occur where files are totally lost, or corrupted. Some feature for app
I hope these features will be available on iOS and Android.
It should be possible to share files from anywhere on the phone with the app so that they can be uploaded, such as photos or other types of files.
There should be a video player within the app that supports video quality control, as well as an audio player.
It should be possible to upload selected photos without having to obtain permission to access all photos.
Alternative connection options should be provided in the app to solve the problem of apps being blocked in some countries, such as Proton…

Find Content Across Spreadsheet Tabs
Thank you for creating Spreadsheets! I would love to completely move over from Google Sheets but a couple of things are missing

Give us the option to:
a) search across all tabs (not just the one active)
b) search a specific range of text
c) replace with text

Allow unselect during Ctrl multiselect in Proton Sheets
In other spreadsheet editors, such as Google Sheets, if you hold Ctrl and click on multiple cells to select them, you can click a selected cell again to unselect it. This is very helpful if you're multi selecting and accidentally select a cell, since it'll let you unselect it and still keep all your other cells selected.
I tried this in Proton Sheets, and clicking on an already selected cell (in multiselect) does nothing.
It's a very small feature, but a good quality of life by design. :)

Allow editing of photos
It would be very useful to be able to edit photos, such as cropping, rotating, and adding filters. It doesn't necessarily need to have very advanced features, just the basics.
