  1. Scanning documents

    If saving a physical document into Proton Drive, it needs to be scanned first. It would be great to get it into be a pdf-file directly from Proton Drive. Not using a third party app. Take a look at Tresorit to see how they solved it.

  2. Sync files from one computer to 1 or more others

    I often work on data or files on my desktop, and later move to my laptop to continue working. My understanding of the current sync a folder function is that files from each computer are segregated in the cloud. There's no way to sync a folder on one computer and have that folder mirrored on another. This functionality is like SugarSync.

  3. Proton Drive Password Protection

    For the past few months, I have been using the Proton Drive. It's a great resource, but I'm always active on my email and wait to log out. My concern is that I have sensitive documents in my Drive, and I would like to have the option to set passwords to folders, or when accessing DRIVE, the system will ask me for the password to edit and move or delete any document.   4. View shared items without option to download

    When I want to share a folder or file with another Proton Drive user I can either put in their user info for them to access it or I can send them the link. When they get it, they can go into their Drive and see my share in their "Sharing" section and they can view it without downloading. I'd also like to see restrictions where i can make my file/folder viewable only and they can't download it.

  5. Add "scan to pdf" to Proton Drive

    When adding documents to Proton Drive using the camera, include an option to "save to pdf" multiple page documents.

    Preferably with black and white, grey scale, and colour options.

    I use this function multiple times a day on Google Drive to digitise important documentation at home and work.

  6. Move backed up photos to a folder

    Right now, photos backed up from a phone can't be moved around like normal files and must remain in the Photos tab.

    It would be great to treat photos like normal files and be able to sort them into different drive folders once they got backed up.

    Right now the only way to do that is to upload your photos folder manually.

    Proton Docs is such a welcome addition! Thank you!

    Will you please add collaborative LaTeX support with the encrypted proton flair?

    Overleaf is an existing product that enables collaborative LaTeX document editing which is great for formal documentation, but it lacks encryption that is often required by standards bodies, large organizations, or sensitive industries.

  8. mapping proton drive for wndows

    Map Proton drive to windows.
    Need to be able to backup files and programs directly to proton drive.
    Need to have proton drive show up on file explorer so I can save there and not have to drag and drop from computers download folder.
    Need to save email attachments directly to proton drive.

    Allow or enable searching photos in Drive by date of capture. For example, if I search "12 June 2023" or "2023-06-12" show me all the photos in my Drive taken on that day. And similar to search by week or month

  10. A Microsoft Office Add-In to enable auto-save

    Auto save can only be enabled when saving to a cloud. MS only have One drive available but Asus Webstorage have an addin to allow you to use your cloud storage with office. Would be great if Proton Drive could do the same and we could have our documents in a safe place by default

  17. Photo backup by album should save to albums

    In the mobile app I can select which albums to backup on Proton drive. When saved to Proton drive the photos should stay sorted into those albums.

    Additionally, being able to create share links to those albums would be good as well.

  18. Anonymous file upload

    I'd like to get file uploads, à la Dropbox File Request, but with the security of e.g. SecureDrop.

    This should give the uploader as much security as possible; eg
    * no logs
    * optional space for text (delivered as email with the file upload notification), eg to identify themselves as much as they want, explain what the files are, etc
    * route through a proxy or the like if on open web
    * available as Tor service
    * encrypt in browser to a GPG key I provide, or at least to my ProtonMail key
    * etc (copy SecureDrop, Mega, etc)

  19. Implement interface which permits accessing Proton Drive as network share

    As a Linux user I’m using duplicity/deja-dup for my local backups. This backup application also supports several protocols to access remote locations, such as ftp/ftps, nfs, ssh, sftp.
    In order to make use of Proton Drive storage in this context it would be necessary to access Proton Drive via some of these protocols which would be of great benefit since then incremental backups would be possible.
    Currently I can only make a local snapshot backup and then transfer the generated files as a whole bunch which takes considerable transmission time.

  20. Alter documents in Drive without downloading, altering, and re-uploading/replacing

    I would like to be able to interact with and alter/edit documents inside the drive. It is cumbersome to make a simple edit to a document by having to download, alter elsewhere, and then upload and delete the older version.
