  1. Dont upload edited Photos from IOS as duplicate

    Currently, if i edit a Photo on IOS it uploads to Proton 2 Photos (one original and one Edited). This should not be or be optimised (maybe ask if i want to synch the original or edited Photo). Since i personally edit a lot of Photos, i have lots of Duplicates (and therefore a lot of Space used) in ProtonDrive

  2. Add Commenter role to allow commenting without editing

    In addition to Editor and Viewer, it would be great to have a Commenter role available at the Doc and folder level, as in Google Drive.

    I'd love to allow collaborators to comment on, but not edit, any Proton Doc in a shared folder.

  4. Lightweight notetaking/todo app

    I’m looking for a lightweight notetaking/todo app like Google Keep. I want to be able to write quick notes and organize lists (groceries, chores, tasks, etc.) in one place. It should stay in sync between my computer and my phone so I can add things anywhere. Markdown support would be great so I can bring my existing notes into it.

  5. Duplicate a document in Proton Drive...

    Literally, the ability to duplicate a file doesn't exist on right click.. that's just so wrong to me. The only way to do it, is to open the file itself and make a copy from there. Let me do it from folder view.

  6. Add Backup Photos solution for Graphene OS

    Add real Folder-level SAF support so that the app can be used for Photo Backup in the background. Now it has to be done fully manually.

  7. Create/Edit excel files in Proton Drive (EcoSystem)

    It would be nice to edit/create excel files within the Proton Drive suite.

    Same functionality as https://proton.me/blog/docs-proton-drive, but then also for Excel instead of Word documents.

  8. Download folders from Drive on Android

    Hi,
    I would love to be able to download a folder from Drive to my internal storage. Currently I can only download files and new to recreate the folders if needed.
    This clutters my download folder and I can't find stuff.

  11. Make Photos visible as a top-level folder in My files

    This might be a quick functionality win for a relatively small amount of coding...

    From an Android perspective...

    (a) Make the photos (files) created and managed by the "Photos" section of Drive visible as a special top level sub-folder of the "My Files" area.

    (b) In the "My Files" view enable copying/moving between "Photos" and "My Files".

    This keeps these actions in the cloud and allows photos uploaded to Drive "My Files" as files (ie, on android, "shared" with Drive from another app), to be later moved to "Photos". No time take downloading, uploading etc.

  12. View videos on mobile

    Currently, to view videos stored on proton drive, you have to download them. An option is to allow apps like vlc, the ability to view/stream these videos, instead of having to download them.

  13. Plaintext and source files editing

    It would be great to be able view and edit plaintext or source files.

    • This one feature would allow to work with dozens of file formats in different programming/scripting languages, config files etc.
    • It would allow to create quick txt/md notes, where the full blown rich text editor is not required/desired.
    • It would allow to use Markdown note vaults, like those used by Obsidian.
    • It would allow to use tabular data in CSV format, which might cover some use cases for the (currently missing) spreadsheets feature.

    In the future, it would be also nice to have some syntax highlighting for…

  14. Losen drive space from proton plan - flexible drive space

    I have the unlimited features but i need more space than 500gb in the Drive.
    Is it posible integrate a flexible drive space upgrade?

    Would be nice to be able to increase the drive space without upgrading to Duo, Family or Business Plan.

  15. Allow the ability to download multiple files without having them bundled inside of a .zip file from the web interface.

    As it stands, on the web interface, if you select multiple files to download within a folder, they automatically get bundled into a large .zip file.

    It would be nice to have an option to instead have the files queued up to be downloaded separately.

    I'm aware you can individually click download on each file, but I'd like to be able to use the checkbox to select all files in a folder and queue them up as separate downloads.

  16. Photo deduplication feature

    The Drive does not mind importing photos multiple times, even though being advertised differently.
    Examples:
    - exact same name, created date, but different last modified date => 2 copies.
    - modified photo on iPhone => 2 copies (not 1 photo with two different states)
    - importing the same photo from multiple sources => multiple copies

    This is driving me crazy, as I want to have a single version of a single photo and don't want to waste my time merging etc. The switch to Proton was supposed to be simple.

  17. Easy Switch for Proton Drive

    Please implement an equivalent of Easy Switch for Proton Drive. It would be of great benefit in the effort of migrating from OneDrive, Google Drive and Dropbox. It's honestly almost impossible to do manually as I - as of now - has to download everything to my local computer and then upload it to Proton Drive.

    Just like it already is in the browser.

  19. Allow for copying (a selection of) files from one album view to: another album or a new album

    I want to be able to make an album with all the pictures of one broad category say: Animals,
    I make an album named: Animals. And i select and add all the pictures of animals to that Album.

    Now i want to make an album named: Cats.

    Then i want to be able to navigate to the: "Animals" Album and select from there all the pictures of cats.
    That makes it so i wont have to scroll so much trough my whole library on desktop while images load slow.
    I then already have a subcollection to choose from.

  20. Secure Folders (without synchronization to Windows, passwords)

    Extra folders that are not synchronized to the Windows drive via the Proton Drive app.
    For Secure Folder, have the option of password protection.
