Sync with QNAP NAS
What I miss the most on Proton Drive is ability to Sync folders with QNAP NAS. It would be awesome to have Proton Drive as a secure cloud backup storage.

Be able to transfer files from Google Drive to Proton Drive
It would Realty help to add a feature Thac would let us transfer files from google drive to proton drive.

Proton Drive as storage location for ALL NextCloud Storage Needs
Make Proton Drive directly link-able with NextCloud for ALL NextCloud storage needs. Photos, documents, contacts, mail, etc, etc.
Currently running a personal instance of NextCloud on LINODE web based server....but Linode's US based storage is not as secure as Proton's and too expensive. I want the ability to create / edit / etc documents (built into NextCloud) and then SAVE the files within super secure Proton Drive. Is this do-able now? How?
I REALLY want to leave Google Online docs and photos 100% and Proton may be my best bet. HELP

Proton Drive Password Protection
For the past few months, I have been using the Proton Drive. It's a great resource, but I'm always active on my email and wait to log out. My concern is that I have sensitive documents in my Drive, and I would like to have the option to set passwords to folders, or when accessing DRIVE, the system will ask me for the password to edit and move or delete any document. Edit photo metadata
Don't need much. Currently, the Photos portion of Drive doesn't have any capability beyond view photo.
I would like to be able to upload lots of photos and re-arrange them/fix metadata issues.
Primarily, Windows has taken some of my old photos I've edited/restored and made the Date Modified to today's date, when the photo date taken was 1965. But when I upload to Photos, it appears as today's date.
I should be able to easily go in and correct these mistakes.

Organize pictures with folders or tags
So I just don't understand how we ended up without any way to organize the photo section of proton drive? I mean it's only organized by date essentially as close as I can tell.
The problem comes when comparing this to Google photos which I currently pay for and have significant data there, is they allow me to take the files and put keywords in the files under the details area.
Google also allows me to make folders of specific photos, so they can be organized. I'm just wondering if we can't put some folders in proton drive / photos…

Custom Domains
As someone who uses a custom domain for Proton Mail, I would like an option to setup a custom domain (or subdomain) for Proton Drive.
Ideally a custom domain would be usable for both logged in Drive users and share links, but at a minimum there should be a way to select custom domains when creating share links.
For example, if I am using a "username@domain.example" email address in Proton Mail, I should be able to generate share links that start with: https://drive.domain.example/urls/[...] instead of: https://drive.protonmail.com/urls/[...]

Preview/watch videos from folder view
From the folder view, video files like mp4 cannot be previewed and appear to need to be downloaded to watch. However, if you click on a photo to view it and then click the right/left arrows to traverse through files in the same folder, videos will load and be viewable. Please make the videos viewable when clicking directly in a folder.

Support local encryption at rest
Support storing Windows (and Mac when the time comes) files downloaded from Drive encrypted on the local disk. Then, support a virtual drive that presents the files as decrypted. Two examples with good user experiences are:
- Boxcryptor, which optionally supports folder and file name obfuscation.
- Cryptomator, which always forces folder and file name obfuscation.
I personally prefer the former, but either one will be helpful.

Share Photos folder
It's great we can finally sync our photos automatically with Proton Drive, but now, we'd like to share them.
I would like to be able to share the whole folder with people from my family account.

Add Labels
I use labels extensively in ProtonMail, almost completely over a typical folder structure, because it allows me to avoid duplication of common subfolders. Currently, most of my folders are broken down by year subfolders, and I'd much prefer just using a label so I'm not forced to filter by the year and going into each of those folders to find something if I, say, forgot which year X happened.
In general, I use folders for exclusive categories and labels for anything that may describe files in multiple folders, and I'd like to continue that structure from ProtonMail into ProtonDrive.

Shared folders linked to Proton account (not just public links)
Privacy and security are at the core of Proton's mission. Sharing folders through Proton Drive should be no different. A public URL for sharing stops short of privacy and security. A model that upholds privacy and security would be an invite model. Invite a specific person to the folder, if they do not have a Proton account, they can create one. They use this login to access files in the shared folder.
A public URL has zero traceability to who is accessing the data. An invitation to a specific person would allow for traceability of the files in the folder…

Proton Automatic Secure Backup for local PC
I currently use Google to back up my local PC files, and have found it both convenient and very reliable, but because I am aware of the privacy issues, I first I use a product called BoxCryptor to encrypt the files before they are handed off to Google. This has worked well, balances the convenance of cloud backup with data security. But BoxCytptor has been acquired by another company, and so now I’m going to have to locate an alternative solution. I would prefer to simply back up my data directly to my Proton drive and call it a day…

Allow upload photos without WiFi
Currently the app requires WiFi to upload photos. For those of us with unlimited cellular data it would be nice to upload using this.

Customizable folder icons
It would be great if the folders could be assigned with different colors. Also assigning different icons would make it easier to find the desired folder faster.

wget / curl support for download links
The link that can be copied for a shared protondrive file cannot be downloaded by wget or curl.
Use-case: I have a file.tar.gpg that I want a URL for so that it can be downloaded elsewhere using curl or wget. This is possible from other drivers, sometimes by adding a request url parameter that gives the "immediate download link".

Make documents and spreadsheets available in real time
Collaborating in real-time and being able to share and access the most up to date version of the document regardless of who edited has become standard operating procedure for many. One of the many things we take for granted until we don't have it. Is this or something for team sharing and documenting editing in the works?

Access desktop sync files on mobile app
I can choose to sync any folders on my Windows PC, but they don't appear anywhere in the mobile app (Android).
