    Pictures in Apple iPhone HEIC-format, need to be downloaded and cannot be previewed in Proton Drive.

  2. Support older macOS versions

    Currently, the Proton Drive app for Mac is only compatible with version 13 of macOS (Ventura). However, many Mac users operate older versions and may be unable to upgrade due to hardware constraints (older Macs). From an environmental standpoint, it should be able to keep one's computer for as long as it works, and not be forced to trade up just to be able to access a new feature...

    We need at least 100GB. I don't want to use Onedrive or google drive because I really like Proton Drive, but 5GB is too small.Thanks

  4. Add (selective) syncing to Linux and Android

    It would be great to have the ability to sync with Android and Linux devices, along with precise control over what gets synced to each device. This could include options like syncing specific subfolders of existing syncs to another device—for example, syncing /Photos/Phone/DCIM directly to your phone’s DCIM folder. Additionally, a feature like a denylist could be implemented to prevent certain files, such as those marked with *.deleted, from being synced, ensuring deleted photos don't get transferred.

  5. To switch from Google Photos, Proton drive is not the deal. We need Proton Photos

    There is already a request like this. But - from the answer it received by administators, I have the feeling they don't have got the point. This is what I think and what I need ;)
    Google Photos offers specific tools to manage and share photos effectivelly. Unfortunatelly Proton Drive app is not up to this task (as it is not OneDrive, for instance). This is because those apps are ment to be used as a File app, not a photo app. In order to offer a true Google Photos alternative, a proper Proton Photos app is paramount. We need…

  6. Proton Drive Photo manager improvements

    Add a feature to manage in a better way our photo on mobile, like adding a search bar, the ability to create albums, or even more the option to choose if when you delete a photo from the phone to delete it also on drive

  7. Shared Drive for the company/Family/Org

    These features of the drive are so important to have:

    *shared company Drive (at least for all user under the same account)
    *to have traceability of who has accessed the document or
    an option for it to be viewed only and not downloaded
    perhaps even only allowed to be edited live on the shared drive
    *Option for only print allowed.

  8. Open documents support (https://opendocumentformat.org/)

    Hi team,

    I want to suggest compatibility with open document formats (https://opendocumentformat.org/).

    I use LibreOffice instead M1cr0s0ft Office since 2012.

    OpenDocument files are zip files with changed extensions, inside, XML and some other formats.

    It is just a suggestion, FLOSS enthusiast will love being able to open (or edit, who knows :D) open document files.

  9. Folder structure

    Add an option in the windows Proton Drive App, to change the folder structure from:
    "Proton Drive/username/My files/DATA I STORE"
    to
    "Proton Drive/DATA I STORE".

    the current folder structure is unnecessary and confusing, the "username/My files" folders are not necessary if you have only one Proton account.

    I think it would be useful
    to make a backup of your android phone or iphone with protondrive
    I have an android phone and it makes an automatic backup on google drive
    and I prefer not to use google apps

  11. Edit file metadata (including photos)

    Don't need much. Currently, the Photos portion of Drive doesn't have any capability beyond view photo.

    I would like to be able to upload lots of photos and re-arrange them/fix metadata issues.

    Primarily, Windows has taken some of my old photos I've edited/restored and made the Date Modified to today's date, when the photo date taken was 1965. But when I upload to Photos, it appears as today's date.

    I should be able to easily go in and correct these mistakes.

  12. Support for sftp

    Support transfers for SFTP. This could be as simple as a SFTP bridge, one end implementing SFTP, ther other the ProtonDrive bespoke API.

    This would allows me to use rsync and rclone.

  13. Improve drive sync algorithm to greatly improve performance

    Proton Drive is extremely slow to upload my files, it's going at around ~200 Kbps, whereas speedtest.net shows I can do 3.62 Mbps upload.

    This is especially noticeable when there is a large number of small files to sync (eg, photo collection).

    I suspect that a potential cause is that new threads might be created to upload each individual file, resulting in the unnecessary opening and closing of many connections. Perhaps a better solution would be for each upload thread to establish a continuous connection and then pipe multiple files through that connection as raw data, which can be split…

  14. Markdown support

    We all need the key feature, which is Docs and Sheets support, but in the meantime would be also nice to deliver markdown support to be able to create it directly in the drive and export it to PDF for example. I guess that most of cases people need to create some kind of statements or easy documents and export them, and it could be done just with markdown integration as we can see with HackMD or Obsidian and other. From my point of view, it's a trade-off between developer complexity and user usability.

  15. Sync with QNAP NAS

    What I miss the most on Proton Drive is ability to Sync folders with QNAP NAS. It would be awesome to have Proton Drive as a secure cloud backup storage.

  18. File versioning / prompt with options before file overwrite

    Please add this feature to ProtonDrive (tested in WebBrowser). When uploading file to ProtonDrive which is already uploaded (based on path and file name) - enable user select one of three options (probably configurable and/or ask user per file/upload session on file conflict):
    1. Add file with new name (existing functionality which appends (nn) to newly uploaded file name).
    2 Overwrite existing file with newly uploaded one (without possibility to restore overwritten files, or move previous version to Trash).
    3. Add new version to existing file (previous versions can be downloaded via new UI). Enable maximum number/size of file versions…
