How can we improve Proton Drive?

Sync with QNAP NAS

What I miss the most on Proton Drive is ability to Sync folders with QNAP NAS. It would be awesome to have Proton Drive as a secure cloud backup storage.

    I believe Rclone enables this, but that feature it's on beta and it uses an unnoficial API

    Agreed, but at least to make it work with HBS Backup would be brilliant. At the moment i have a windows box in the middle to use proton drive to sync a folder which HBS syncs to. Its a faff.

    This would be a tremendous achievement to ditch Google Drive, allowing to privately sync data from Proton to a local NAS.

    Both HBS & MARS QNAP application should have native Proton support!

    To replace backup from phone and QNAP NAS from Google Drive to Proton, an interface for HBS3 and FolderSync is critical. The proton drive app does not support controlled and tailored sync and does not suffice. Without this, the 500GB could just as well not be part of unlimited.

    please just add smb to the proton drive client AND/OR provide an qnap app to allow syncing between qnap and proton drive

    Or atleast try get support for it added to HBS 3 Hybrid backup sync app on Qnap. That one already support sync to all other major clouds. So I assume most of the coding is already done with that app, just code a "plugin" for it.

    Hello there!
    As a Proton Unlimited user I was ready to ask for the same feature and find out someone already asked abou it.

    Is there any deadline for a QNAP native app that supports syncing with ProtonDrive?

    I'm currently using rclone but it's on beta and some issues have arisen as there's no documetation about the API so far provided by Proton.

    Any feedback about this would be great!
