I Iike this request and second it; there should be some UX controls to allow user control over the specific conversations and other additional information that Lumo accesses.
Proton's original and primary mission is privacy, and part of that involves intentional separation or compartmentalization of data. To break down those barriers to enable more functionality requires a careful entwining of soliciting 'informed consent' from the user, and automation features to keep consent from being a laborious, repetitive process.
I'm one of the holdout end-users that still at least skims most EULAs on new things I use, and in my view the balance is somewhere between a single click on "I agree to the Terms and Conditions [Which I probably didn't read]" and going through a dialog box for every single action that requires some kind of legal acknowledgement or consent.

While I am solidly for this, there's a catch: To get the app from the android store REQUIRES a Google Play account, and making such without a full Google account nowadays is nigh-infeasible.
Android is also suspicious by default of non-Play Store apps: Proton is no longer simply a humble privacy-focused e-mail service; it is a direct competitor to Google, and this conflict might not be able to be settled amicably on all sides.

This could vastly improve the usefulness of Lumo to private and business users; however, I'm not sure if it is compatible with Proton's commitment to privacy, particularly if this capability (inevitably) gets abused.

I don't use current versions of ChatGPT or other AI presently; however I think this is an important and valuable feature to enable cross-model analysis of other model-generated conversations, provided Lumo can be induced to recognize it is not looking at its own output nor should it necessarily behave that way.
According to Lumo its model does not cross-reference past conversations for context, so while I think this is a good idea, it may not be as useful in Lumo as some would like it to be.

I am generally for this, although I differ on some particulars.
I had some financial and legal challenges when Visionary was last offered, and unfortunately missed out. The opportunity to 'go all in' on Proton's mission in some way other than a big-budget fundraiser would be exciting and enticing to me. -

The idea of a widget (first comment) seems like a very viable solution. Google is in control of Android's features, not Protonmail, and I don't see them allowing it since they are in direct competition.
I can sync other calendars to Proton using the 'enter URL' feature available on the webapp portal. I know that doesn't help ppl who want to completely leave Google behind.

They may not have all their design and layout features finalized, which can lead to chaos in terms of available development paths. I hope they get there this year though.

Or maybe an interactive tap-hold feature to keep the main view from being too cluttered. Being able to add location data to or from calendar events is a helpful feature.

It might be good to input the time in the military format and simply have a 'display time' setting. Most people only set it once anyway, so it doesn't need to be another greeble on the GUI.

Samsung, at any rate, removed the 'task/to-do list' feature from their mobile app a few years ago. I use Samsung Notes for some things, but I know that's not secure. Being able to make lists and attach them to specific days or weeks (or choose to leave them 'loose-leaf') would be a welcomed (-back) feature for me.

TBH I was going to call this 'critical' until I saw the notice that Lumo was used to write it; so while I like and support the proposal, the fact that Lumo was successfully prompted to write [the first draft of] it, means that the model seems to be largely succeeding so far.
Prompt 'modality' is a complex thing to engineer for the end user to control, because the more complex a model gets, the harder it is to control contextual sensitivity and modality between input and output. I think this should be merged with the "Lumo API" request, because at a glance, their technical and functional goals seem to intertwine. I'm not a field expert, so I cannot speak to how closely the two requests overlap nor how feasible either of them may be given Proton's primary priority of privacy.
