I use Syncthing and Syncthing-Fork to keep Linux (Fedora) and android in sync.

Currently all three of these systems have feature parity; the gap is in terms of UI, and this is something that we have in our plans to close.

Feature parity needs to become a Proton priority. I'm getting tired of being treated as less important than Windoze users.
No way I'm renewing my Unlimited in 2026.

I recently tried uploading via both Brave and Firefox on my Linux. What an exercise in frustration or practice in anger management.
The Android works far better, more stable and faster. Unfortunately I'll never know when there is an update for the app because Proton only takes a project so far and gives up.
You need to find a way to notify the users when apps installed through protonapp have an update.
You have many options: Add app updates to your blog, A RSS feed for protonapps, RSS feed for your Github.
Of course the best option is publishing your own repo on F-Droid.
Most apps I've tried will not install from Aurora on GOS.
