An error occurred while saving the comment Oscar commentedAs a privacy-conscious user, I chose the Unlimited plan precisely because it offers robust features without the need to share my account with others. Most privacy-first individuals would likely stick to the Unlimited plan rather than opt for the Duo plan, which is more suitable for those sharing with a family member or second user. It seems unfair that solo users, like myself, are now excluded from accessing the Proton Scribe writing assistant. Proton has always stood for privacy and fairness, and this decision feels like a step away from that. Please consider making this feature available to those of us on the Unlimited plan who prefer to manage our accounts independently.

Introducing Docs in Proton Drive – collaborative document editing that’s actually private: https://proton.me/blog/docs-proton-drive
With Docs you can:
- Write with privacy — Create and edit documents within Proton Drive, knowing your contents are only accessible to you and those you choose to share with.
- Share and invite anyone — Invite other users to view or edit your documents with a single click.
- Collaborate in real-time — Changes are reflected immediately, ensuring every contributor always sees the most up-to-date version.
- View cursors and presence indicators — See who else is viewing or editing the document, enhancing teamwork and communication.
- Leave comments and replies — Add comments to share feedback without editing the document. Comments are visible to all collaborators, keeping everyone in the loop.
- Import and export with ease — You can upload .docx documents, edit them, and download in various formats like .docx, .txt, .md, and HTML.

Proton Drive needs a Linux client with automatic file sync. Many of us rely on Linux as our primary OS, and this feature is essential for a seamless workflow. It would help users like me fully switch from other cloud services like Google Drive. Please prioritize this – the Linux community is ready to support Proton even more!
