We have given this quite a bit of thought, but at the present moment, it is not clear the advantages would outweigh the disadvantages.
The biggest problem is search. Encrypting all metadata would break metadata search entirely on the web client as there is still no efficient way to handle search of encrypted data within a browser.
Secondly, metadata encryption’s value from a privacy standpoint is also somewhat dubious. Because we ultimately must deliver the message to the recipient, we must know who the recipient is. At the current time, there still isn’t any proven and viable way to work around this.
Metadata encryption is an area of continued research for us, and when the opportunity arises and the technology for doing this matures, we will definitely implement it in ProtonMail.

Hello,
A note that UserVoice is a seperate entity from Proton. If you want to help improve their site, reach out to UserVoice directly.
Thank you.

Hello,
UserVoice is not owned by Proton. uservoice.com details that. Please also note that the website structure is very different.
I am pretty sure hide-my email aliases work here, please try.
Also, since you seem to be able to post, does it really matter?Thank you

Hello,
Proton can already send you emails on login attempts: you can learn more here:
On paid Proton plans you can choose to enable Proton Sentinel. This will send you emails with IP address that you can use to track down the person. Also it will also send it to your recovery email address.
Upon logging into your Proton account, you can see and revoke sign in attempts: https://account.proton.me/u/18/mail/security
Enable Proton Sentinel: https://account.proton.me/u/18/mail/security
Thank you.

Hello,
Please find attached a copy from the r/ProtonMail AMA from Andy Yen:
Actually we're interested in the community feedback here. There was a lot of pent up demand for Proton Docs so we prioritized getting that out first and are now focused on further improving Proton Docs. Given the choice between putting resources between further improving Proton Docs or integrating Standard Notes with Proton Accounts, it's not exactly clear what is more valuable to the community. So unfortunately I don't have an answer here as we haven't internally decided yet either, but we will take on community feedback as we work for you. -Andy

Hello,
You can do this with Proton Gift Cards from the Proton Shop.
Go to shop.proton.me to buy.Add the gift card to the cart. Once purchased, you will see your upgrade code(s) on the order confirmation page (wait a couple of seconds for this to load your codes)
Please note that the upgrade code is NOT added in the .pdf template you can download, which is at https://drive.proton.me/urls/2Q48H2BZ44#cnaPhtwcy9eW
📫 You will also receive an email from shop@orders.protonmail.com that includes permanent access to this page, in case you've closed it. You can then edit the pdf with the upgrade code and send it to the family member via email or alternative distribution.
Thank you.

If not possible due to Apple walled garden, at least have clearer instructions "go to icloud.com/mail and enable forwarding"
