As a daily user of Lumo, I find it genuinely frustrating that such a promising AI assistant cannot handle some of the most commonly used file formats — PNG, JPEG, and other standard image files that virtually everyone works with every single day.
In my professional environment (technical electrical drafting), image files are not optional extras — they are core to what we do. Being unable to upload and process a simple screenshot, a diagram, or a scanned document severely limits Lumo's usefulness in real-world workflows.
Privacy-first AI is a fantastic vision, and I genuinely appreciate what Proton is building. But if Lumo cannot handle the file types that people use from morning to evening, it risks becoming a tool that looks great on paper but falls short in practice.
I strongly urge the team to prioritize support for common image and document formats. This is not a niche request — it is a basic expectation for any assistant aiming to be part of a professional's daily toolkit.
Thank you for listening, and I hope this feedback helps shape Lumo's next steps.
