  1. print multiple emails

    Dear proton team,

Please add an option in the "more" button to print multiple emails after having selected them. This would be a really simple feature to implement and it saves a lot of time.

Once a month I have to get printouts of about 50 emails and it takes quite a bit of time print them individually.

    Thanks in advance

  2. Option to chose the Date/Time format

let users chose Date/Time format. The US one is very confusing.

ISO/euro date format, no more "yesterday" or "Monday", and 24-hour time. I live in U.S. , paying customer.

  3. Make the column widths adjustable.

When in Column layout, please make the column widths adjustable. I don't need the sidebar and message to be as wide as they are and I do need the message text area to be wider because text is often cut off.

  4. Resize Inline Images

Gmail allows inline images uploaded to be resized, so they are not so huge and graphically fit with the body-text of a message. I'd love to be able to resize and design proportions of email imagery, as it tends to be a significant part of my communications.

By the time you offer POP and SMTP that really work, I will have given up the internet.

  6. Formatting, enlarge the font

It would be nice and save my eyes, to be able to enlarge the font, or the text. Easier to pre-read my emails before sending.

  7. Be able to collapse the left-hand menu in web app

Would be nice to collapse the left-hand menu on the web app when the browser size is not too big. This is useful when pinning a window or having limited width space available.

  8. Swipe to next/previous email on Android

I think a nice feature to have which is already seen in at least the gmail app on Android is the ability to swipe to the next/previous mail while reading. Say I'm reading my email's and I want to read the next one. The way I have to do this now is by pressing back and then opening the next mail. It would be a lot more comfortable to be able to just swipe from left to right to read the next mail or swipe from right to left to read the previous one.

To have a delete button avaiable on the Search Results screen.
Currently a search of the Trash Folder does not show a Delete option for the results.

  11. Rollback the ugly new app icon color

Please roll back the app icon color to the original darker blue. The new faded color (I dont think it even has a name) is horrible, and constantly looks like the app is not installed properly / trying to install, because of the subdued hue.

  12. Trash messages need to be separate from Inbox messages

Messages sent to the Trash should not reappear in my Inbox when I receive a new email from the same chain.

Currently, if I receive a new message from the same chain as an email I already trashed, the trashed messages reappears in my Inbox. Messages I have trashed should never reappear in my Inbox.

  13. Add received spam senders to blacklist with one click

When I get a spam email I would like to be able to blacklist the sender with one-click ( maybe 2 clicks or a right-click) to add them to my blacklist without having to copy and paste or re-type the spammers email address, please.

  14. Security - auto lock out of ProtonMail with timer limit.

In the browser when using ProtonMail, it'd be nice to have a timer that auto log-out or locks the access to the mail system after a predefined amount of time - also linked to Sleep status of the computer / smartphone system. This would limit accidental access to the mail system even if there's access to the physical hardware (=computer / smartphone).

  15. Integrate LibreOffice Online

LibreOffice Online is a web interface for LibreOffice (previously OpenOffice)

It's getting ready and it would be an incredible asset to ProtonMail once it gets a stable release.

You could extend your security and privacy oriented service with an Office application!

  16. Matrix integration

The matrix protocol is going to displace email.
If protonmail wants to stay(become very) relevant, they should look
for ways to bridge their email platform to the matrix platform.
See matrix.org to find out about your next communication protocol.

  18. Use quantum hard cryptography

The general consensus currently is that nation states will have quantum computers capable of breaking today's commonly used asymmetric cryptosystems in the next 15 years[1], and potentially before then. And there is currently at least one major nation state with limited quantum computing capability actively using it to accelerate a small class of attacks.

Last year NIST released an advisory on quantum computing, and expressed urgency in the matter[2]. The NSA has also released an advisory[3].

The fact is that several nation states are collecting nearly all data on the Internet in bulk and storing it. In a few years…

  19. Separate read and unread mails view option

GMail has this wonderful and dead simple UI/UX feature which I would like to see in my ProtonMail account: inside inbox, one can choose to collect all unread emails first, on top and then (separated by a small label or something) one can see all the already read emails below. Otherwise in this "view" the order/sort can be changed to size/date both with asc/desc options.

This feature makes it very easy to look at the inbox and see all read and unread mails without clicking on "show read only" or "show unread only".

    Thanks in advance!

  20. *Unlimited* Disposable Email Aliases

(to vote for unlimited alias, visit https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483/suggestions/45394132)

Startmail explains it perfectly. They offer unlimited disposable aliases, which expire within a given amount of time. They also offer custom aliases which can be saved and used indefinitely.

It is the disposable alias which will help protect privacy, when submiting an email to an untrusted recipient. After all, how much privacy do we have if our fixed emails become the foundation for building and selling our marketing profiles, just as is done by gmail. We limit personal activity virtual trails by disposing of aliases for casual uses. But, unlike custom aliases,…
