Two Design Suggestions
It's difficult to distinguish "On" or "OFF" on the Mac Menu Bar Icon.
And the larger screen color should have a light and dark option. While the purple color is dramatic, it's extremely difficult to read.

To enhance Proton VPN, consider these two design improvements: First, the Mac Menu Bar icon could benefit from clearer status indicators. Using distinct colors or additional icons to represent "On" and "OFF" would make it easier to distinguish between the two states at a glance. Second, the larger screen interface would be more user-friendly with the addition of light and dark mode options. The current purple color, while dramatic, can be challenging to read; offering alternative color schemes would improve readability and overall user experience.
