Close Israeli VPN Servers
Proton VPN's homepage states it "is a community supported project with a simple goal: to build a safer internet that also protects civil liberties." Proton has operated the Israeli VPN servers since 2019. However, Israel's government and its private companies has a track record of violating civil liberties of Palestinians and worldwide with hacking software like Pegasus. It is time to be sincere about our commitment to civil liberties: close the Israeli VPN servers.

It's important to have geographical diversity in servers. Plus it's telling that this comment focuses on Israel, and completely ignores Russia, Sudan, and Libya, all of which have absolutely awful civil liberty track records much worse than Israel's. Those servers should remain open. So should Israel's.

If you want people from Israel to be able to talk and be informed, they must do it securely too. Closing VPN in Israel will probably help the regime.
It gave us the ability to see inside too.
