How crazy is it for a company like Proton with high privacy standards, using "Google" to download an upgrade!!!!!

Really!

Why not having an "auto" upgrade feature, bypassing Google in all cases?

    ProtonVPN is available on F-Droid. Maybe Obtainium too?
