Replace file metadata modified date by upload date. Or add column for upload date
Metadata modified date could be irrelevant when backup to cloud (example: it could be a file with lot of read without modifying it or metadata got deleted and defaulted to some date).
Either replace or add a column for date uploaded to Proton Drive could be very helpful when sorting through file.

Replacing it would be a bad idea. The "modified" date is what I am most interrested in. upload / creation date holds no relevant information for me. I want to see when and where in my folder structure something has changed so I can navigate top down (starting from root) to the newest files (if I want to). This way I am also able to verify easily that a file I changed on another device got synced properly.
Somehow not many people see this the same way and are not bothered by the way it is currently implemented.

When I read the title I assumed you were advocating the opposite, but I agree. Photos backed up from my phone are mostly correctly categorised according to the date the photo was taken, but migrating them from Google Photos and now I have 100GB of years of photos and videos in "October 2024" specifically and it makes the photos section almost entirely useless as it is impossible to find anything.

Yes - I desperately need additional metadata fixing options. This doesn't cover everything I need, but as I'm trying to migrate my Google Photos collection, I need to be able to fix broken dates in the photos; I have photos from the 90s being uploaded as 2024s because of the date modified tag.
