  1. Unlimited customdomain forwarding for paid Proton Unlimited Mail accounts

Unlimited customdomain forwarding for paid Proton Mail accounts
    Brief request
Since switching to Proton Mail, I’ve noticed a missing feature: the ability to forward an unlimited number of addresses from my own domain (e.g., whatever@mydomain.com).
Currently, for Proton Unlimited, each forwarding address must be one of the 15 “authorized” addresses listed in the account settings. For a paid plan this restriction feels annoying.

Your strategy, is may be to push people to subscribe for Proton Family, which has a limit of 90 adresses e-mail/alias. But come on, you push too far.

  2. Unlimited aliases for custom domains

I need tous and of aliases in order to create one email address per website.
I have a custom domain and I enabled catch-all. So I can receive emails to unlimited possibilities of aliases.
But I can't answer to these emails with the alias address. So I have to create an alias in my proton mail.
The first problem is the number of aliases I can create.

So I need to create unlimited aliases in proton or to delete aliases and recreate them later if I need without lose all the emails sent to this alias in my mailbox.

    This…

  3. default custom domain email address as sender

Make it possible to indicate custom domain email address as 'main' address and have it as default when composing new emails from the web interface.

  5. Remove/Update misleading and false claims in paid plans - Custom domain - Users

I am requesting that the seemingly deliberately, misleading claims of Protonmail Plus and Protonmail Visionary be updated to reflect clearly that the "5 ADDRESSES" and Custom Domain Support does not actually work as most people will interpret it.
I have been inspired to ask having read https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483-feedback/suggestions/12484953-multiple-accounts-for-same-custom-domain

It seems that the 5 addresses are not in fact 5 user accounts that can be used with a custom domain but in fact 5 alias type addresses that can only be used by one person. It also seems that only one person can use the custom domain address.

    Please…

  6. *Unlimited* Disposable Email Aliases

(to vote for unlimited alias, visit https://protonmail.uservoice.com/forums/284483/suggestions/45394132)

Startmail explains it perfectly. They offer unlimited disposable aliases, which expire within a given amount of time. They also offer custom aliases which can be saved and used indefinitely.

It is the disposable alias which will help protect privacy, when submiting an email to an untrusted recipient. After all, how much privacy do we have if our fixed emails become the foundation for building and selling our marketing profiles, just as is done by gmail. We limit personal activity virtual trails by disposing of aliases for casual uses. But, unlike custom aliases,…

  7. I would be interested in paying for $25 per YEAR (not month) for Unlimited domains & UNLIMITED addresses.

I would be interested in paying $25/YEAR for Unlimited domains and addresses.

I use catch-all and have probably 5 trillion trillion trillion possibilities and am not interested in paying MONEY to use an email ONCE.

I want to be able to RECEIVE AND SEND from ALL domains and all email aliases, unlimited possibilities for each domain, and I have a lot of domains.

PRESENTLY I GET ALL OF THIS 100% FOR FREE WITH GOOGLE APPS and I am unlimited grandfathered in forever. It allows 100 maximum SEND FROM emails, when I use them all I will…

We will review our planes and try to make adjustments that will enable more users to afford ProtonMail.

However, this request is impossible to honour due to the way our business model is developed.

Contrary to Google, ProtonMail is not reading its users’ emails for advertising purposes, it does not serve ads, and it does not abuse personal data.

As a result, our only income to maintain and develop the service comes from our users, and not from the advertising market.

Google can offer all of this for free because you are not paying for the product with money, but with your privacy.

  8. Support for internationalized domain name, IDN

I request that support is added for IDN custom domains and support to send mail to addresses with internationalized domain names.

  9. Family plan with 6 custom domains

It wouldn't be uncommon for a family seeking this type of service to require 6 individuals with personalized email domains, each having their own unique domain. The fact that the individual plan provides 3 custom domains for a single user leads me to believe that it would be reasonable to expect that in a plan for 6 users, each person could have at least one domain.

  11. Use proton.ch domain

Some users want to use a domain that is under Swiss jurisdiction. This is why Proton lets us end our addresses with protonmail.ch.

However, that domain is quite long. This is why Proton added pm.me as an alias and then added proton.me as an optional ending.

The .me domain is under the jurisdiction of Montenegro, who is a member of NATO and is joining the European Union.

Proton owns the proton.ch domain. Please let us end our email addresses with proton.ch instead of proton.me.

  13. Separation of Proton and Custom Domain Mailboxes

Currently, Proton email addresses and custom domain addresses share the same mailbox view, which mixes all emails together. This approach feels unintuitive and makes it harder to manage communication across different identities.

I would prefer the ability to separate custom domain email accounts from Proton accounts into distinct mailbox views (or “drawers”). While it’s possible to use filters and folders as a workaround, this requires manually duplicating structure (Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.), which quickly leads to a cluttered sidebar and added maintenance overhead.

Would you consider introducing an option to define how email addresses are grouped within the interface? For…

  14. Allow special characters in local-part for custom domain email addresses

when trying to set the local-part for my custom domain email address to "~"
    I get this error message:

"Only alphanumerics, periods, hyphens, and underscores are allowed in the local part of the email address, and it must begin and end with alphanumerics." all I can say is why?

"it must begin and end with alphanumerics."
this is so arbitrary! it's an email address' local-part not a username..

for many years, I have always used ~@myna.me as my email address, before and after I self-hosted my email, I use it for all of my online accounts and and all of…

  16. catch-all support for custom domains

With the addition of custom domain support, I really would love the option to have a catch-all email address, as I've been using that feature a LOT on my current/previous hoster.

I vastly prefer that over the account+alias@protonmail.com feature, as using that would require me to change all the places where I used all those other email addresses.

  17. Custom subaddressing delimiter for custom domains (plus addressing, email tags, catchall support)

Custom subaddressing delimiter for custom domains (beyond plus addressing)

    Allow custom-domain owners to choose the subaddressing delimiter from any RFC-permitted non-alphanumeric symbol allowed in the local-part of an email address (e.g., . - _ + ! # $ % & ' * / = ? ^ \ { | } ~`).

    Why:

Plus-addressing and email tagging users rely on tagged addresses for filtering, traceability, and account compartmentalization.

The current + delimiter is widely stripped or rejected by websites and abused by bots and spammers.

Alternative symbols would restore reliable tagging for custom-domain owners, catchall users,…

  18. Visionary: Allow More Custom Domains

As a Visionary member, I can add 10 custom domains. I need more and want secure email for all of them. Please allow extra domains or offer a paid add-on. Unlimited isn’t essential, but higher or flexible limits would help people move their whole setup to Proton. Strict caps like this drive people away, which is a shame given the need for robust privacy services in today's less private world.

  20. Block Sender in bulk and by domain

The "block messages from this sender" option is great. Please add an option beneath to "block messages from this domain" because future messages from the domain still require blocking. This would save lots of time compared to the Filters page in settings.
