  3. Enable 'rclone' to give you access to the Proton Drive as part of the Mac file system, or produce a Terminal app yourselves.

I've used the command-line program 'rclone' to show my Proton Drive as part of my Mac file system, so I can backup files from a Terminal. It's dead slow, but it worked. Then, two days ago, I ran
    rclone mount proton: ~/ProtonDrive \
    --vfs-cache-mode writes \
    --tpslimit 0.3 \
    --transfers 1 \
    --checkers 1 \
    --low-level-retries 1 \
    --timeout 10s \
    --daemon --protondrive-replace-existing-draft=true
    and it said
"CRITICAL: Failed to create file system for "proton:": couldn't initialize a new proton drive instance: 422 POST https://mail.proton.me/api/auth/v4: We are detecting potentially abusive traffic coming from your network and have temporarily blocked…

  4. WebDAV Access for ProtonDrive (Linux)

    Dear Proton Team,

I’d like to share my feedback regarding Lumo and using ProtonDrive on Ubuntu. Below is a summary of our discussion:

    1. WebDAV Access for ProtonDrive I attempted to use ProtonDrive via WebDAV on Ubuntu to improve usability. Despite enabling Beta access, I couldn’t find a WebDAV option in ProtonDrive settings. Efforts to use davfs2 or rclone failed because the domain dav.proton.me couldn’t be resolved.
    2. Alternative Solutions ProtonMail Bridge: Installed successfully but lacks direct ProtonDrive integration. Session Buddy: A Chrome extension to save ProtonDrive sessions, reducing frequent logins. However, I’m uncomfortable relying on this workaround due to security concerns…

  5. app specific password for programatic drive access

I am using MFA to access Proton services.
I am testing Proton Drive as a backup solution, using rclone to send nightly deltas of a folder to the drive. This needs MFA, though, so it breaks after a while.
Could you add app-specific--passwords so that this can be achieved, without using MFA for this, but still keeping MFA for normal access?

    Thank you.

  6. API Checksum

I keep most of my personal/project files in a folder structure that 'lives' in the cloud, but has a full offline mirror on my main devices (desktop and laptop). From my point of view this is an essential quality of life thing, and I have no idea how other people survive without doing this.

The problem I have now is that I'm on linux, automating my mirroring with rclone. Rclone is great, but if a file gets corrupted during the sync process, it can't tell, which is A PROBLEM because over time with repeated syncs, corrupted files can potentially…
