Setup for catch-all and wildcard aliases with SL & PP
I would like to request support for Fastmail/Migadu-style catch-all aliases in Proton/SimpleLogin, where any email sent to
*@*.example.com—including all subdomains of a custom domain—is automatically delivered to my main mailbox (e.g., example@example.com). This would allow users to receive emails sent to any subdomain without manually creating aliases, simplifying email management while keeping full control over a custom domain.4 votes -
Allow adding payment methods for users with Apple subscriptions
Issue:
Users that have an active subscription through Apple's App Store cannot add payment method in Proton Mail settings. When they click on "Add credit / debit card" they are greeted with the "Manage your subscription on Apple App Store" popup. While I understand why it wouldn't make much sense to have a payment method on an account that has their subscription managed by a 3rd party, I've encountered an edge case that I think would be beneficial to the <1% of users like me.
I've cancelled my Proton subscription through my Apple Account. Now, since the Proton mail settings…

Monero as a direct payment option
Proton should support Monero payments for all services, in particular email and VPN.
At present, Proton does not accept Monero payments directly, but rather refer to some 3rd party option.
This proposal is specifically regarding Proton accepting Monero payments directly, similar to how they currently do for Bitcoin.

Single-page sign-in
I use an Onlykey for password management, 2fa, and passkeys. It'd be nice if there were the option to switch to a single-page sign-in form across platforms and services so that I could save my UN, PW, and TOTP to a single slot.
As it stands, I have to open a text document, use the Onlykey to paste my credentials, and then copy/paste them into the sign-in form. The only alternative right now is to assign the password to one slot, and the TOTP to another. I've only got 24 slots, and I resent having to use more than one…

Add a Confirmation Prompt for System-Wide Password Changes
Changing a password on a single Proton service (e.g., Proton VPN) can unexpectedly change the password for all connected Proton services, including Proton Mail and Proton Pass. This can lead to users being locked out of their accounts, especially if they have not set up a recovery method.
This is particularly confusing when using an alias. A user might assume the password change only affects the specific service tied to that alias, not the entire Proton account. I experienced this firsthand; I was lucky enough to get all my data back after a reset.

Allow users to configure an email to be sent along with granted emergency access
It would be helpful if users could store a text message to be sent to the emergency access grantee that contains further instructions. Most of the time people will have forgotten about instructions given years ago by the time they are granted access. It doesn't have to be fancy. A simple mult-line textfield would do.

Idea Proposal: Custom Domain as Default Address in ProtonMail
Problem:
Currently, when users add a custom domain to ProtonMail, their primary login and default email often remain as @proton.me or @pm.me.
While aliases can be set up, the Proton address cannot be fully removed, and users can’t set the custom domain as the true default identity.
This creates friction for users who want to use their own domain exclusively for both sending and receiving emails.4 votes -

multi user payment options
When you have multiple people in a family plan, allow each user to split the cost of the plan, but add a warning that if someone decides to stop paying, then the one who made the family plan, would be responsible for paying the full cost.

One time payment options to unlock more folders and filters in mail. Or a mini plan to do so for like 1 eur per month.
I suggest one time payment options to unlock more folders and filters in proton mail. Or a mini plan to do so for like 1 eur on month for more folders and filters and like 2 or 3 GB space. Thanks. The plus plan is too much for me. I don't need everything it offers. I noticed that many users have a similar opinion.

Proton Visionary for Single User
I would love to support Proton by subscribing to the Visonary plan, however, I am the only one in my family that would be using it and I don't want to have to pay for 6 Family accounts.
I currently have Proton Duo (So that I have support for SMTP) and I would love access to Proton Wallet, however, having to pay almost $80AUD isn't feasible.

Make biometrics free across all apps
It feels weird to me that biometrics is included in the free tier on iOS, but not for the Windows Desktop app. I can imagine it has something to do with licensing costs, but I'd say that it makes a lesser user experience and makes it harder to communicate features for the free vs. the paid tier. I say make it free for all apps, regardless of the operating systems. It's something people expect to be able to use. Maybe more so on iOS, but Windows Hello is on the up and up as well.

Allow disabling recovery phrase nag messages
Allow a user to permanently dismiss the recovery phrase nag messages.
The web interface keeps bothering me to set a recovery phrase but I do not want to set one because I am already using a password manager to store my password. I do not see any benefit of having a recovery phrase because any circumstance that would cause me to lose my password would also cause me to lose the recovery phrase.

App-based MFA
I like the way that Discord, Steam, Github, Apple, etc do their logins, which is by a phone app that prompts you with a notification and you have to enter the code that it says on the computer. This would be a really convenient way to log into Proton rather than having to use your phone for 2FA. Some of the apps I mentioned also do a qr code thing to log in which is super convenient as well.

correct IGIC (local VAT) or VAT-free for Canary Islands
The Canary Islands are part of Spain, but not part of the EU VAT zone. Instead of VAT (IVA), the islands apply their own local indirect tax called IGIC – generally 7 %, and in many B2B cases 0 %.
This means that invoices issued to customers based in the Canary Islands must not include standard Spanish VAT. Depending on the business relationship, they should either apply IGIC or be issued without any VAT at all, following the special tax status of the islands.
Take into account that the reverse charge mechanism doesn't apply here. Canary Islands tax-Ds cannot be…3 votes
